Be Informed Get Active: Vote with Conviction

Get out the Vote, End Gun Violence, Protect Women’s Rights, End Sex-Trafficking. Find a place to support these and other efforts. Join in small groups or large. Write letters. eMail. Call. Fax. Brainstorm. Need a place or resources? The Church is yours! Contact Heather to schedule meetings or group activity times. Have a resource to add to this list? Let Heather know. And, let us know what you are doing so we can share it with all!

Being informed, active, engaged, and voting are all part of our responsibilities as members of a faith community and citizens. This is not politics. It is an expression of who we are into the workings of our society that reflect our faith and beliefs. Let no one tell us to be silent…or the stones will start shouting out. (Luke 19:40 reference.)

Gun Violence Letters

U.S. Senators, U.S. congressmen/women and State legislators, on the need for legislation. These lawmakers need to receive as many letters (and weekly calls) as possible from theirconstituents to show them this issue isn’t going away and that there is a large groundswell ofsupport to see legislation passed. We urge you to join us.

We have drafted 2 “sample” letters (attached). You can send one of these letters, modify it, or write your own letter, as long as you tell our legislators why you want gun legislation passed.
